Last week, Minister for Transport Thomas Danielsen (Venstre, V) announced, after an almost two-year process, that Norwegian had won the bid for a new green domestic flight route in Denmark.

The Norwegian cut-price airline will, from March 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027, ensure that at least 40% of the fuel in their aircraft on the Aalborg-Copenhagen route is sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), made from non-fossil sources like cooking oil, in 93% of their flights.
