Contrary to the party’s directive not to impoverish Denmark, Socialdemokratiet’s ambitious pension proposal could end up leaving the national budget in the red.

In practice, it would kick a 21‑billion‑kroner bill down the road, and unless it’s covered by higher taxes, new reforms, or other measures, it could put Danish economy at risk.
