The first meal I remember is … sitting in my grandmother’s kitchen eating strawberry compote made from strawberries that tasted like the sweetest summer, from her and my grandfather’s orchard. My grandma could work magic both in the kitchen and the garden and is a huge inspiration for how to cleverly and thoroughly use everything from one’s ingredients and live in harmony with the planet.

I end up getting takeaway from ... our (almost) neighbor Lee’s Kitchen on Åboulevarden. It’s always the same order with the favorite duck, rice, and sauce. Besides tasting amazing every time, it’s a principle for us that takeaway always must be picked up ourselves. So it’s nice that it’s local and close by.
