The proposal to tighten protections for children on digital platforms in Europe is being welcomed by experts and the government. One sticking point, however, is that the EU wants a lower age limit than the broad political majority here at home.
For nearly 70 years ago, an effective drug was introduced for women suffering from nausea and headaches during pregnancy. ’Contergan’ also worked against nervousness and sleep problems and was entirely harmless, the German pharmaceutical company Chemie Grünenthal claimed.
The drug could be bought without a prescription and quickly became popular, including in Denmark under the name ’Neosedyn’.
