The smallest major city in the world. Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark. A centre of culture with countless museums and galleries. The university city of Aarhus also has a large conference center. The Jazz Festival is held in July every year followed in September by Aarhus Week – one of the biggest cultural events in Scandinavia. Beaches are found both north and south of the city, surrounded by forests which are hundreds of years old«.
