Årets Oscaruddeling i Dolby Theatre i Los Angeles er ovre, og den sydkoreanske film ’Parasite’ blev den store vinder med prisen for bedste film, bedste internationale film, bedste instruktør og bedste manuskript, og slog dermed bookmakernes på forhånd udkårne favorit ’1917’.
Derudover vandt Brad Pitt langt om længe en Oscar for sit skuespil, og Hildur Guðnadóttir blev den første islænding nogensinde til at modtage en Oscar, for sin temamusik i ’Joker’
