New research by a group of international scientists is suggesting that sea levels will rise by over a metre over the next 100 years, three times more than suggested by the United Nations Climate Panel.

The report, published in the American scientific publication Geophysical Research Letters uses an inverse statistical model to forecast changes in sea levels up to the year 2100 as a result of natural and human activity.
