Airports in Denmark will remain closed for landings and take-offs Tuesday until at least 2 p.m., as reports of an increased eruption intensity at Iceland’s Volcano raises fears that a new cloud of volcanic ash may be on its way to northern Europe.
Naviair, which controls Danish airspace, has opened Flight Level 205 for transit aircraft from 8 a.m. Tuesday, allowing aircraft to pass through Danish airspace at a level of above some 6,000 metres, but has maintained its landing and take-off ban until at least 2 p.m. when a new decision is to be made.
