The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) is drowning in cases from companies needing security clearance for new employees who may have access to sensitive information on weapons or IT technology.

The delays in giving security clearance inherently pose a security risk, as companies often allow employees to handle sensitive material while their clearances are pending.
