A new strain of a multi-resistant MRSA bacteria has been found in cow’s milk and humans in Denmark and Great Britain according to a Cambridge University study which found the mutant in 13 out of 940 specimens taken from 450 farms in southwestern England.

The survey found that the mutant was present in 24 people being treated for an MRSA infection in Denmark and 27 people in England and Scotland. The term MRSA is short for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus.
