I love works where the subject or the thought process it initiates turns out to be something other than initially assumed. Where what seemed so straightforward fiercely resists, or what I feared would be insurmountable obstacles disappear like a tear in the corner of the eye.

There are quite a few of these kinds of works among the ‘new works’ that Louisiana has incorporated into the museum’s collection over the past four years, and which are now exhibited together, even though they fundamentally have nothing to do with each other.
