Denmark, which was among the EU countries to actually agree to take part in the UN Durban II conference in Geneva, joined other EU countries in walking out of the plenary meeting in protest at statements from the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.

“We wanted to make a point already today. We agreed during a teleconference last night that our ambassadors would leave if Iran’s president went off the rails. He did and they left,” says Per Stig Møller.
