The Danish People’s Party is now withdrawing a central element out of the immigration agreement that was presented on Sunday as the most stringent in Europe.

The party is now distancing itself from a requirement that Danes living in Denmark must have had full time work for at least two years and six months out of the preceding three years in order to be allowed to bring a foreign spouse to the country.
