A survey by the National Institute of Public Health (SIF) and the Economic Council of the Labour Movement suggests that the 25 percent of males in the highest wage bracket have an average lifespan of 81.4 years, 10 years longer than men in the 25 percent who earn the lowest wages.
According to the survey, the difference in average lifespan between the two segments has doubled in the past 20 years, predominantly as a result of lifestyle.
