A new survey of some 43,000 Danish male children shows that those born of hairdressers and other groups who work with endocrine disrupting products have a much higher incidence of hypospadia, which is a congenital malformation of the penis, according to Avisen.dk.
The survey, carried out by Danish and Spanish researchers, has sought to research into suspicions that chemical agents in cosmetics, cleaning agents, soft plastic and other products can disrupt the hormonal balance and affect human embryos.
