Denmark’s Parliament – the Folketing – reopens for business after the summer recess today, and if MPs get a little hungry after the proceedings, they can pop outside and partake of a union happening luncheon of tinned cod and cartons of mock bubbly.
To mark the traditional opening of Parliament on the first Tuesday in October, unions have laid a table outside for the house’s 179 MPs to highlight disapproval with some of the government’s policies.
