The white spots on the map have always attracted explorers, but the spots were only white on the white man’s map.

The spots were not white at all for the people and animals already living there. Today, you need a magnifying glass to find white spots on the map, but paradoxically, I am simultaneously witnessing a resurgence of ’explorations’ in documentary films.
