The researchers' study shows, among other things, that immigrant boys with parents who have limited education receive significantly lower grades than a Danish girl from a highly educated background – even though the students have the same abilities. Boys, students of non-Western descent, and children of parents with limited education receive significantly lower grades from their teachers than they should, based on their academic level.

This is revealed in a comprehensive survey conducted by researchers from the Rockwool Foundation, the University of Copenhagen, and Roskilde University.
