When you walk down the main street in the provincial town of Skanderborg in Jutland, it is hard to miss the town’s new, colorful landmark, ‘Little Nyhavn,’ which is prominently located on the waterfront facing Skanderborg Lake.

The new construction is styled like a warehouse and, as the name suggests, is meant to resemble the Copenhagen harbor district of Nyhavn. The smaller version in Skanderborg is also painted in various colors, including turquoise and orange, and features mullioned windows and staggered facades.
