It’s really a feel-good story.
It all started when Copenhagen’s first harbor pool opened at Islands Brygge in 2002. The water in the previously polluted industrial harbor was now clean enough for people to dive in without getting sick. This created a unique opportunity to swim in the middle of the city instead of taking the coastal train to Bellevue or biking to Amager Beach.
