One day in July, three girls paddled out on a paddleboard from a beach in Jutland. The water seemed calm, with no big waves. But the children hadn’t noticed how strong the offshore wind was, and in no time, their inflatable vessel was carried so far from the coast that the girls didn’t have the strength to paddle back. They became upset and very scared because they couldn’t get back to shore.

From the beach, several lifeguards had already spotted them. While one kept an eye from land, the other sailed out in a engine-driven rubber boat to the three girls, got them aboard the rescue vessel, and brought them safely back to the beach.
