Teachers are increasingly leaving public schools to find jobs elsewhere.
In 2023, there were a total of 84,400 individuals with a teaching degree in the overall workforce. But only a little over half, nearly 52 percent, were employed in public schools. In 2010, the proportion was 59 percent. This is revealed in an analysis commissioned by the Danish Union of Teachers and conducted by the Economic Council of the Labour Movement.
