Political pressure to reform the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) is mounting. Leading the charge is Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who together with the UK’s Keir Starmer authored an op-ed published Tuesday in The Guardian.

In the op-ed, the two leaders argue that Europe’s migration and asylum systems no longer align with current realities.
