Light-blue Wolt couriers will face competition from light-green Uber riders when the globally known ride-hailing platform Uber, starting Wednesday, begins delivering food to Danes.

The new delivery service, Uber Eats, will launch in Copenhagen and then be rolled out to the country’s larger cities. To begin with, Copenhageners will be able to order from 500 restaurants through Uber Eats, including the burger chains Jagger and McDonald’s.
