The European Union has promised to send 400 policemen to Afghanistan by April 1 to help train the Afghan police force – but fulfilling the promise seems unlikely, according to Denmark’s Foreign Minster Per Stig Møller.

“Now we’re talking about May. That would be acceptable. But the worst thing is that we’re not talking about 400 – at the moment it’s 193,” says Stig Møller after a meeting with his EU colleagues today.
