Denmark is teeming with shelters. But where can you find them all gathered in one place, so you have an overview and can more easily see the options and possibly book an overnight stay? That’s the challenge Christian Kaad Andersen is trying to solve with the newly launched website ShelterDK, whose ambition is to bring together all of the country’s more than 1,600 shelters.Oversættelsesdisclaimer

As things stand, there’s nowhere you can get the full picture. Some shelters are listed with the Danish Nature Agency, others on Bookenshelter, and the rest through other providers — for instance, forest owners or estates, as well as ordinary private garden owners who have shelters that can be booked.
