In a small village in Northern Funen, it was exceptionally good news when the Supreme Court issued a ruling on September 3 that overturned decades of how the Ministry of Immigration and Integration handled citizenship cases.

In the village lives 29-year-old Nadine with her family and two young children. The ruling has renewed her hope of regaining the citizenship she received in 2006 but was stripped of by the Agency of Family Law and the Ministry of Immigration and Integration through a »re-registration« in May.
