Jews in Copenhagen gathered to remove pictures of Israeli hostages

Building 10 and 12 on Ole Suhrs Gade in Copenhagen are rather unremarkable brick buildings. They resemble the rest of the four-story houses that line the street. That is, except for two things: Outside, sharply armed military guards stand watch, and on the bricks hang two rows of photos of the Israeli hostages who, until Monday, had spent just over two years in captivity with Hamas.

But today, something is different. Thirty to forty people gather in front of the building a little before 2:00 PM. Some bring flowers, others have an Israeli flag. Now the pictures of the hostages will be taken down after being on the wall since October 2023.
