A German soldier who was stationed in Denmark’s second city of Århus during World War II has returned a camera he stole from a shop in the city 66 years ago, according to Århus Stiftstidende.

“This has weighed on me for years and I would like to apologise,” the soldier wrote in an anonymous letter sent with the Agfa Isolette camera and 50 euro to Århus Town Hall.
