A recent agreement between Denmark and Iraq has meant that 282 Iraqis, whose asylum requests have been denied, can be forcibly repatriated. The opposition, however, is calling for all of the cases to be looked at once more.
“We have to go through the cases again to see whether anything new has happened since these people had their requests rejected. The survey will show whether there may be a reason not to send them home, despite the fact that they can be repatriated,” Socialist People’s Party Integration Spokeswoman Meta Fuglsang tells Kristeligt Dagblad.
