The Auditor General has delivered unusual criticism of the Health Ministry in connection with a probe into whether Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, during his time as Minister for Health, paid too much for the treatment of national health patients by private hospitals.
"I have not been satisfied with the flow of information from the Health Ministry in this case. It should not be difficult to get information from a ministry during investigations into an issue. Such information should flow into us. It has not done so in this case," says Auditor General Henrik Otbo, whose job it is to be the public watchdog on whether taxpayer money is spent correctly.
