Few specialties signal Danish food culture quite like rye bread. This is the opinion of the two judges Politiken has tasked with blind tasting six different handmade versions of Denmark’s national bread, all but one baked by Copenhagen bakers.

»It’s such a Danish tradition. It’s something that all foreigners must try when they’re in Denmark – and something we all miss when we’re out of the country«, remarks one of the judges, food writer Mira Arkin.
