1Warriors and War

The exhibition ’Kriger’ (’Warrior’) opens at a dramatic time when war is on the agenda in a different way than just a few years ago. The situations in Ukraine and Gaza have highlighted the role of the warrior in the battles, and it is precisely soldiers and similar figures that the exhibition ’Kriger’ focuses on.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Moesgaard and Krigsmuseet (’the War Museum’) and is now moving from Aarhus to Copenhagen. Visitors will be able to see plenty of old and new gear and learn about fighters from many historical periods, but the most moving exhibit at Moesgaard was a 25-øre coin from 1976.
