It was during the winter holiday that I first felt disappointed by a combination of German and Austrian cuisine.
I was traveling by train between Osnabrück and Duisburg and had dinner in Deutsche Bahn’s dining car. There was an Austrian theme, so I had some crumbling spätzle with some gravy. And some meat. I can’t remember what.
