It’s easy to be tempted right now. There is an abundance of fresh vegetables flooding stores and markets. New potatoes, strawberries, and asparagus catch the eye and scream, eat me, eat me. Just the other day, I was tempted by new Danish potatoes, the finest from our fields. But they weren’t organic, and when I looked up the producer’s name, it became clear that this particular producer was known for heavy use of pesticides on their crops.
