Fanico in Nordhavn
For many years, the image of Portuguese cuisine was something involving white fish and overcooked potatoes, but in recent years, particularly younger chefs in Lisbon have brought new international attention to the country’s food scene. Nørrebro already has a popular Portuguese bar, and now Fanico, a »Portuguese eatery with a French touch,« has opened in Nordhavn.
We’re talking bifanas (classic Portuguese sandwiches with pork and steak), rissois de camarão (shrimp croquettes), and – of course – pasteis de nata, the small tarts filled with vanilla cream. Fanico is open Wednesday to Sunday for both lunch and dinner. Reservations are not possible.
